It’s important to know what to expect during every stage of your upcoming painting project, and our team wants to equip you with the information you need to succeed. After over 30 years of interior and exterior painting, our team has developed a carefully cultivated list of tips and helpful hints for our customers. We streamlined our painting preparation to enhance the overall efficiency of our projects, and keep customers in the loop every step of the way. Knowing what to expect with our painting services will eliminate miscommunication and help us bring your dream home to life!
Preparation for Interior and Exterior Painting
For both interior painting services and exterior painting services, customers must cleanse their area of any possessions that could interfere with the project. For example, the following items must be removed from the work area:
- Picture frames
- Lamps
- Books and content from shelves
- Computers
- Televisions
- Stereos
- Curtains and draperies
- Rugs
Our team will remove small furniture and cover larger furniture with plastic sheeting and drop sheets. All floors are protected with a combination of drop sheets, masking, and plastering. We will remove all fixture covers and switch cover plates. Before painting, all areas must be thoroughly sanded to create a smooth surface for paint application. Every day, we will clean up the area to eliminate dust and debris build-up in your home. It’s essential to specify a location for our team to set-up and clean their painting tools. A steel sink or washtub is preferable for cleaning, but any underused room will suffice.
Our Professional and Courteous Work Ethic
We work with both commercial and residential clients. Most of our painting projects begin at 8:00 AM and end at 4:30 PM. However, our team is always very accommodating to any scheduling requests. Most commercial clients prefer that we work on weekends to diminish any disruptions to their employee workflow. The majority of our residential clients prefer a more customized schedule. We will work with you to create an efficient yet courteous project timeline.
Need addition work from our team? Complete the change order sheet to notify our team, specify materials, and define the hourly rates. Costs are calculated on a time and materials basis. If some colors require multiple coats, we will recalculate your invoice to reflect the changes.
Reminders for Project Completion
It’s finally time to enjoy your newly refreshed space! Don’t forget to schedule a walk-through with our lead painter after your project. This meeting will last approximately 15 minutes and allow you to assess the quality of our work. We will store all leftover paint in a location of your choice and provide convenient labels for quick identification. Contact us for future touch-ups!
